Norimberga, 1828. All'alba, in una piazza, compare come dal nulla un giovane sporco, lacero e allucinato, che stringe tra le mani una lettera anonima nella quale si spiega che il ragazzo, abbandonato dalla madre, è stato allevato da un contadino che ora lo affida al capitano di cavalleria. Subito iniziano a fiorire le ipotesi: che lo sconosciuto sia un figlio illegittimo di Napoleone? Un principe in disgrazia? Il ragazzo finirà in carcere e poi esposto come fenomeno da baraccone nelle piazze e nelle fiere. Morirà cinque anni più tardi, ucciso da un sicario, e l'autopsia rivelerà la causa della sua idiozia: Kaspar Hauser, simbolo d'innocenza, era un minorato e aveva il cervello piccolo.

In the autopsy scene, the operating table is equipped with an exhaust pipe which is white and smooth. It looks like plastic, because no material of that era could have a similar appearance, also the pipes at that time were made of lead. <br>------------------------<br><br>After Kaspar is left in the town square, there is one shot of him where the way he holds the note, and the way the bandanna is tied, that is different from before or after. <br>------------------------<br><br>When sitting at table, a man tries to take Kaspar's hat.
